SHRM pledge promotes second chances for convicts

Taylor Associations and companies representing more than 60 percent of workers have committed to increase opportunities for the formerly incarcerated, according to Johnny Taylor, CEO of the $139 million-revenue Society for Human Resource Management. The largely untapped population can be a source of labor in a tight market, he said. The employers, including at least four national associations, have signed SHRM's Getting Talent Back to Work pledge.
